Residenz Drachenstein has a luxurious wellness area with large jacuzzi, steam bath, saunas, showers, relaxation area, etc. In the building you will also find a separate washing and drying room, a ski depot, a charger for electric cars (for a fee) and a charger for e-bikes. There is also an underground parking garage. Residenz Drachenstein is managed by a Dutch caretaker couple, who live in the complex and are therefore almost always present. They take care of the check-in/check-out of the guests and ensure that everything is as desired. The caretakers also provide the bread service for a fee.
Residenz Drachenstein is located in the ancient ski village of Niederau, in the beautiful area of Wildschönau. This area is now among the ‘Top 10 Best Ski Resorts in Tyrol’. The apartment complex is just a short 500 meters away from the ski lifts. The village center is also nearby. The apartments offer expansive views of the Wildschönau mountains, the village of Niederau, and the slopes of the local Markbachjoch ski area.
Since 2012, Wildschönau has been connected to the ski area of Alpbachtal via one of the most modern gondolas, resulting in a superb ski area with 150 km of ski slopes. This makes the area suitable for skiers of all levels, from families with small children to professional skiers and snowboarders who are comfortable on black, mogul-filled pistes, and off-piste runs. Additionally, sports enthusiasts can enjoy cross-country skiing and avid hikers can explore the extensive and beautiful natural area of Wildschönau.
The practically untouched nature reserve, the Wildschönau, is one of the oldest ski areas in Tyrol, but also forms a beautiful holiday location in the mountains in summer. In summer you can use the lifts for free with the Wildschönau Card. The Wildschönau is a real hiking paradise with 300 km of hiking trails. Mountain hiking, various outdoor (mountain) sports, paragliding, tennis, swimming and, of course, wonderful golf on the many golf courses in the immediate vicinity, are all possible in the Wildschönau.
